Teachers of Technical Institutes uniting to fight for better pay package

Professors of the leading business institutions like IIT's, and IIM's are uniting first time in the history to fight for better pay package and reject the MHRD's proposals. A joint charter of demand will be given to MHRD concerning better pay package, more autonomy and flexibility. They will also demand more autonomy for hiring new faculty. Efforts are on to bring faculty of other institutions like NITs and IISc. Representatives of IIM-Ahmedabad faculty met their director and requested him to delay the implementation of revised pay scales for time being.
